Policy & Restrictions

Prohibited Activities

Only activities permitted by Karmup and applicable law are allowed.

We explicitly reject the notion that "anything is allowed except illegal work." Certain activities require specific statutory licences, qualifications, permissions, or consumer safeguards. Even where an activity is not inherently criminal, it is strictly prohibited on Karmup unless permitted under these policies and applicable law.

Unlawful & Dangerous Activities

  • Engaging in fraud, scams, pyramid schemes, or deceptive financial solicitations.
  • Impersonating another individual, company, law enforcement officer, or official.
  • Offering, transporting, or transacting in stolen, smuggled, or counterfeit goods.
  • Unlawful financial activity, hawala, money laundering, or illegal currency conversion.
  • Possession, transport, or distribution of illegal drugs, narcotics, or unregulated prescription pharmaceuticals.
  • Manufacturing, transporting, or distributing prohibited weapons, firearms, explosives, or hazardous chemicals.
  • Human trafficking, involuntary servitude, or forced physical labor.

Harm, Harassment & Exploitation

  • Harassment, stalking, threats, extortion, defamation, or encouragement of physical violence.
  • Any form of sexual services, adult escort arrangements, or prostitution.
  • Any exploitation, abuse, or endangerment of minors (strictly reported to law enforcement agencies).
  • Registration, account creation, task creation, or task execution by individuals under 18 years of age (minors are strictly prohibited).
  • Physical violence, hate speech, or discrimination based on religion, caste, gender, disability, or nationality.

Digital Malice & Privacy Violations

  • Distributing malicious software, viruses, spyware, or keyloggers.
  • Unauthorized access to computer systems, network cracking, or database exfiltration.
  • Identity theft, phishing, or soliciting banking credentials, PINs, and OTPs.
  • Unlawful surveillance, tracking individuals without consent, or covert photography/videography.

Academic Fraud & Unlicensed Professional Services

  • Academic fraud: ghostwriting student homework, proxy exam taking, or cheating assistance.
  • Providing medical advice, prescribing medicines, or practicing medicine without statutory medical council registration.
  • Providing regulated legal or financial advisory services without authorized professional qualifications.
  • Commercial transport or taxi services without valid commercial permits, passenger insurance, and fitness certificates.

Reporting Violations and Legal Cooperation

If you encounter any request, message, or user attempting to engage in prohibited activities, report them immediately using the in-app Report button or contact support@karmup.in.

Karmup cooperates fully with lawful authorities and law enforcement agencies. We preserve relevant digital evidence, logs, and communication records, and disclose them in compliance with applicable law upon receipt of lawful notices.
